Talia Goddess RAGGA
Creative Direction, Production, Casting, & Post-Edits
“RAGGA” is one of my most culturally significant audiovisual projects, conceived not just as a music video but as a living cultural moment rooted in the Black Caribbean underground scene of New York City. Rather than staging a set, I threw a real party and filmed within it, capturing the raw energy, community, and sonic hybridity that shaped me, with cameos from key figures across NYC’s creative ecosystem who reflect the world that inspires and uplifts my work. Sonically, the track embodies my Caribbean–New York identity, blending dancehall with hip hop, R&B, and experimental production, while the process itself was a deliberate reinvestment in my community through paid collaborations and shared visibility. Opening with an improvised scene that teases another track, the video nods to Brooklyn’s off-the-dome spirit and unapologetic authenticity, ultimately celebrating a bold, communal new generation within the Caribbean diaspora.
